Water Management

Fiti utilizes the Water Risk Assessment Tool from the World Resources Institute (WRI) to identify the water risk levels of its various plant locations. It was determined that the Taiwan sites are situated in a low-to-medium risk area, while the facilities in China (Songjiang and Kunshan) are located in medium-to-high risk areas. We will continue to implement relevant water resource management measures within these facilities. Regarding water usage, FITI is committed to improving water efficiency following the "reduce → recycle → reuse" model.

※ Water withdrawal only uses third-party water—tap water type—and all are freshwater.
※ Water consumption is calculated as Water Withdrawal - Wastewater Discharge.
※ Proportion of domestic wastewater is calculated as Domestic Wastewater ÷ Water Withdrawal.

Annual Water Intensity

Notes:
1. Water intensity is based on the latest three years, with data collection and analysis becoming comprehensive.
2. Operating revenue data are disclosed in annual financial reports, presented in thousands of New Taiwan Dollars (TWD).
3. Group water consumption consists of the sum of annual water usage, measured in cubic meters (m³).
4. Water intensity is calculated as the total annual water consumption ÷ consolidated annual revenue.
5. From 2022 to 2024, water intensity has shown a declining trend due to production capacity expansion and increased revenue.

FITI utilizes the Water Risk Assessment Tool developed by the World Resources Institute (WRI) to identify water resource risk levels in the areas where its facilities are located. The evaluation determined that the Taiwan facilities are situated in medium-to-low risk areas, while the mainland China facilities (Songjiang and Kunshan) are in medium-to-high risk areas. Based on these findings and the policies of local regulatory authorities, FITI has developed a water resource policy focusing on the "Reduction → Recycling → Reuse" model to enhance water efficiency.

In previous years, FITI Group's overall water consumption has maintained a balanced trend due to the rapid expansion of the company's scale (production capacity and production line expansion) in recent years. The Group's water consumption target for 2023 is to reduce the total amount by 0.5% compared to 2022.
Therefore, the Group has proposed corresponding measures for water resource management (1: use of reclaimed water from the intermediate water system for cooling towers/2: effective allocation of the intermediate water recovery system/3: reasonable adjustment of the conductivity drainage of cooling towers), which have gradually achieved results. The Group's water consumption in 2023 was 284.4 million liters, compared to 299.418 million liters in 2022, saving approximately 1.501 million liters per year and achieving the target of reducing the total amount by 0.5%.
