Wastewater and Waste Management

Industrial process and domestic wastewater from each site is collected through separate pipelines and treated by appropriate facilities to meet regulatory discharge standards before being conveyed to the science park wastewater treatment plants. For effluent quality monitoring, in addition to in-house sampling and testing, certified third-party laboratories are regularly commissioned to conduct wastewater quality assessments, ensuring that discharges pose no significant environmental impact on surrounding water bodies. In 2024, no major leakage or overflow incidents occurred across all sites, and there were zero environmental complaints or penalties.

In 2024, FITI Group generated a total of approximately 2,996.94 metric tons of waste. All waste generated from operations is classified in accordance with regulations into general industrial waste and hazardous industrial waste. We follow ISO 14001 management procedures to effectively track sources and volumes, adopting the principles of localization, resource utilization, decentralization, and maximizing recycling and reuse.
Starting in 2024, FITI has been working toward the UL 2799 Zero Waste to Landfill goal and continues to collaborate with partners to identify recycling and reuse channels for materials such as wooden pallets, waste cutting oil, and waste plastics. In addition, waste segregation training for both production lines and general office operations has been incorporated into annual programs to minimize the environmental impact and potential risks associated with waste.

FITI operates dedicated wastewater treatment plants at each facility, where industrial wastewater and domestic sewage are collected separately through distinct pipelines. In addition to conducting in-house sampling and testing, third-party accredited laboratories are regularly engaged for wastewater quality testing. The wastewater quality at all facilities complies with local effluent standards, ensuring that there is no significant environmental impact on the receiving water bodies before discharge. In 2023, no major leaks or overflow incidents occurred, and there were zero environmental complaints or penalties reported across all facilities.

In 2023, the total waste generated by FITI amounted to approximately 2,777.52 metric tons. To minimize the environmental impact and hazards caused by waste during the production process, all waste generated is classified as hazardous or non-hazardous in accordance with regulations. Following the ISO 14001 management procedures, a dedicated management unit is established to effectively monitor waste sources and output. The group is committed to localization, resource utilization, decentralization of waste management, and maximizing recycling and reuse rates.

All Fiti's waste is handled by qualified supppliers; audits are conducted to ensure suppliers' qualifications. No hazardous waste is exported; instead, it is treated domestically. Should Fiti's suppliers engage in illegal activities, Fiti will immediately cease cooperation and change suppliers.
