Global Sustainability Initiatives

SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)

The SDGs refer to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, a set of 17 core global goals that cover economic, social, and environmental dimensions.

FITI integrates the SDG indicators with our sustainable development direction. While continuing to grow revenue, we also emphasize social equity and environmental protection.

TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures)

TCFD refers to the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, a global standard established in 2015 by the Financial Stability Board. Its purpose is to guide companies and financial institutions to disclose the risks and opportunities that climate change presents to their financial status.

Climate-related impacts include physical risks, transition risks, and opportunities.

FITI established its Sustainability Committee and TCFD framework in 2023, and completed assessments of physical and transition climate risks, as well as climate opportunities in 2024.

Net Zero Carbon Emissions

The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) provides the scientific foundation for climate action, while the 2015 Paris Agreement establishes concrete guidelines aimed at limiting global warming, mitigating extreme climate risks, and promoting sustainable development. In response to the global climate challenge, the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan has actively advanced its “2050 Net Zero Carbon Emissions” policy, offering guidance and support for businesses.

FITI officially announced its 2050 Net Zero Emissions target in 2024, demonstrating a firm corporate commitment to sustainability. To implement this commitment, the company established a Net Zero Task Force in 2023 and developed a robust governance framework to ensure effective execution of its net-zero transition strategies.

GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) Standards

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is an independent international organization that aims to help businesses and governments worldwide understand and communicate their impacts related to key sustainability issues. Through the GRI framework, organizations can effectively identify and report on the significant economic, environmental, and social impacts they face and how they address them.

FITI has used the GRI Standards for reporting since 2017, starting with Corporate Social Responsibility reports and progressing to Sustainability Reports in 2024. The current version followed is the updated GRI Universal Standards released in October 2021.

SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) Standards

The Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), founded in 2011, is a nonprofit organization focused on developing standards for corporate sustainability information disclosure. Its purpose is to help companies disclose financially material and sustainability-related information to investors and stakeholders.

FITI uses the SASB semiconductor industry standards for disclosure and reporting, with a focus on greenhouse gas emissions, resource management in manufacturing, occupational health and safety, intellectual property protection, and fair competition practices.

RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) Standards

The Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) is dedicated to improving sustainability and social responsibility across global supply chains. It protects the rights of workers in the supply chain, promotes environmental stewardship, and encourages ethical business practices. Through its Code of Conduct, the RBA ensures companies meet standards regarding workplace safety, health, fairness, environmental responsibility, and ethical conduct. These standards are verified via third-party audits. Many major Taiwanese companies are RBA members actively promoting corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.

FITI commits to adhering to the RBA Code of Conduct and local labor laws, ensuring that all employees are respected and enjoy a workplace free from discrimination, with equality and safety.
