Grand Opening Ceremony at Fiti's Rayong Factory, Thailand
To proactively manage geopolitical disruptions in the manufacturing and supply chain impact, and promote the "China +1" manufacturing production base strategy, Fiti expands its global manufacturing base to Thailand. This is in coordination with Fiti's global strategy in response to the company's sustainable development, establishing a global multi-location production layout, and strengthening the adaptability of the Business Continuity Program (BCP). Fiti, through its Thailand subsidiary, UniEQ, has invested US$292 million to build two manufacturing factories. These 2 sites include one in the Amata Smart City, Chonburi Industrial Estate in Chonburi Province; and the other in the Amata City Rayong Industrial Estate, in Rayong Province. These two sites will establish a production base for the key modules, components, and spare parts for the semiconductor front-end process equipment.
On January 16, 2025, Fiti proudly celebrated its grand opening of its new factory in Rayong, Thailand. Fiti's CEO and General Manager, Kevin Chiu, led the management team in hosting the opening ceremony and invited local Thailand government officials, key customers, and representatives from Taiwan to witness this significant milestone in Fiti's growth.
Guests attending the event included Zhang Junfu, representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand; Suchart Chomklin, deputy minister of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand; Triphob Wongtrirat, governor of Rayong Province; Wirat Tatsaringkansakul, deputy secretary-general of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI); and Amata Corp Chairman, Vikrom Kromadit. All came together to congratulate Fiti on this milestone achievement in Thailand.
